I Have a $10 Million Dollar Ring for Sale Buzz

OOtners:

A beautiful sunny Friday morning to you from Columbus…

Before we get into this weekend’s football I just want to let you know—if you are looking to upgrade your jewelry collection—I have some that I am willing to part with ASAP…so please email me separately and keep this between us if you are interested!

Hard to believe but it is Week #6 of the college football season already…for some teams after this weekend the season will be half over….Another big weekend so let’s get to it.

Michigan @ Rutgers

After five straight home games to open the season, the Wolverines take to the road for the first time heading to New Jersey to take on Rutgers. While UM’s offense had been on cruise control the opening month of the season, last week with tougher competition (Wisconsin) they sputtered to only 14 points. We know what happened to Rutgers last week in Columbus…but Mi##igan’s offense is not Ohio State. Rutgers will play much better but MI##igan gets to (6-0) and remains in the top 5…closer than the experts think. Wolverines- 40 Rutgers- 24

Texas vs. Oklahoma (Dallas)

These two teams meet in Big-D for the 111th time in the Red River Shootout…(oops sorry it’s an election year so we have to be politically correct the RED RIVER RIVALRY). I also shouldn’t mention this game is played in Big-D since there will be NO D played!—Charlie Strong’s comments remind me of Tiger Woods when he discusses his golf game, “We are so close”. Well (13-16) in his first 29 games—a crappy defense, you are not really close. He has fired his offensive coordinator as well as his defensive coordinator—there’s no one left to blame! Here comes “Little Bob” with a defense as bad as Texas. Difference is Bob has an offense. Sooners continue their march through the Big-12…Oklahoma- 48 Texas- 27

Notre Dame @ NC State

The BIG question here is with Hurricane Matthew bearing down on the Carolina’s how bad will the weather conditions be for this game? Does it really matter for the #1 ranked (2-3) Irish…what you say they’re not ranked #1?…Oops my bad I thought they were. No biggie, I’m taking NC State and I don’t even know what their record is!…Wolfpack- 38 Notre Dame- 35

The Buzz also likes Oklahoma State to roll Iowa State at home…Cowboys- 48 Cyclones- 20….And in the “who cares” category Illinois blows out Purdue (Who is REALLY REALLY bad)…Illini- 38 Purdue-5

UPSET Special of the Week

Minnesota- Iowa

The Floyd of Rosedale trophy…I’m serious look it up that’s what these two teams are playing for on Saturday. The Gophers first loss of the season came last week @ State College against Penn State—just a feel but I think at home Minnesota gets the upset…close one Minnesota- 35 Iowa-33

Alabama- Arkansas (Just because I like to make fun of Fat-ASS)

As head coach at Alabama Nick Saban has NEVER lost to Arkansas in 10 tries. Come on “Bert” what do you have for this game? “Bert” has had three years now to build the program and without a signature win the natives are growing restless. The Buzz actually thinks this is going to be closer than the experts think…Bama- 27 Razorbacks- 23

Game of the Day

Tennessee @ Texas A&M

As AEROSMITH with say the Vols have been “Living on the edge” this year with close wins over Appy State at home and last weeks “Hail Mary” win at Georgia. Both teams are unbeaten in SEC play so this one is a big one. Look for the Texas A&M defense to be the difference getting a late stop…Aggies- 34 Tennessee- 27

Real Game of the Day

Indiana @ OSU

So here comes a confident Hoosiers team after their impressive Saturday night win at home over #17 ranked Michigan State. Interestingly the Hoosiers have played the Buckeyes tough the last few years…however— and how about this– Ohio State has defeated the Hoosiers the last 20 times they have played!

Since the arrival of Kevin Wilson as head coach Indiana has played well on offense but now the defense is starting to catch up. This could be the best team the Hoosiers have fielded since he has been head coach. BUT…Now the competition takes a HUGE step up as they venture to Columbus.

Not only is the Buckeye offense operating at a high level—the defense (as we told you earlier this week) LEADS the nation in points allowed. The Buzz is tired of predicting that teams will score (20 points) a game and then the Bucks pitch a shutout.

Final tune-up before the Buckeyes have two tough road games.

Sorry Hoosier fans…Ohio State just has too much firepower…In the end…

Ohio State- 48 Indiana-13

Here’s to (5-0)…and remaining #2 in the country.

(And don’t forget about the jewelry…I would post the pictures on twitter/Instagram but not sure that’s a good idea!)

Proud to be a Buckeye!

Go Bucks
